Anna Smolens is a fine art and equine portrait photographer located in Maryland. She is one of the founders of this project and strongly believes that now is the time for more open conversation about race and equality. By using our collective voices, we can make the equestrian community stronger.

Shelley Paulson is an Equestrian Commercial & Portrait Photographer as well as Mentor and Educator, based in Minnesota. She is one of the founders of this project and has a passion to see more diversity in Equestrianism and Equine Media.

Bethany Pastorial is an equine portrait and branding photographer based in Missouri. She is one of the founders of this project and is motivated by a need to create representation she would have looked up to as a young equestrian of color.

Kirstie Marie Photography LLC is a fine art equine photographer located in Aubrey, Texas. Her style is characterized by revealing the most beautiful elements of each girl and her horse in sun-soaked, distinctive photos to be treasured for generations to come.

Jessica Lian Photography is an equine portrait photographer based in New Mexico.  Using natural light to showcase the connections between horses and riders is paramount to JLP's photography.  When Jessica isn't photographing equestrians (or playing with her son and working horses), she is writing her masters which focuses on equity in how POC are portrayed in informal science institutions.

Rebecca Tolman is an equine photographer based in Oregon.  Working with clients and their horses, capturing the relationship and bond they share is Rebecca's passion and reason for pursuing her photography over 10 years ago.

Erin Beckett is a photographer and filmmaker located near Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She believes that by sharing stories of diversity, we can start much needed conversations about race, equality, and why representation matters.

Erica Hills is an equestrian lifestyle photographer located in Florida. She is one of the founders of this project and is committed to fostering growth and development within the equestrian community through the inclusion of all riders and all disciplines.

Sara Farrell is a fine art and portrait photographer servicing Lexington Kentucky. She strives to turn candid moments into lasting memories. Sara believes in the importance of empowerment through representation, and the power that emotional storytelling through photography can have.

Alaina is an equine portrait photographer based out of the San Francisco Bay area. She is driven by an endless love of horses, a deep passion for storytelling, and a profound desire for an equitable, empathetic world.

Maureen is a traveling equine photographer based out of Akron, Colorado where she lives on her ranch with her husband and two children breeding North American Destriers and shorthorn cattle. A lifelong creative and horse girl, Maureen enjoys expressing herself and telling a story in her artwork. When she isn't behind the camera Maureen can be found creating content for her growing TikTok following, cuddled up with a good book, and working on her latest liberty routine with her horse Chap.

Phyllis Burchett is a Professional Photographer, Artist, Workshop and Tour Leader based in Georgia. She leads an Equine Photo Tour to Iceland each year along with numerous Workshops around the USA.

Lisa Dolny is an Atlanta based Equestrian portrait photographer.

Jackie Harris is a part time photographer located in the Pittsburgh, PA area.  The cowboy that taught her how to ride horses was an equestrian of color, Rusty.  Although Rusty is no longer here to share his stories with the Project, she is passionate about sharing the stories of other EOC and opening up conversations about racial bias and helping others to understand the definition.

Lindsey Long provides Southern California equestrians with beautiful images of their beloved horses, capturing the human-equine bond. She believes that encouraging diversity is vital to the survival of equestrian sport.

Rachel Griffin is a wholly obsessed horse-nerd-turned-photographer based in Oklahoma. She's on a mission to help devoted equestrians feel confident and comfortable in portraits with their heart horses—because that partnership too important to let nerves or worries get in the way of celebrating it.

Yasmin is a portrait, pet, branding, equestrian and fitness photographer based in Arizona.  Finding beauty in the details, she creates art photography for every day.

A portrait photographer passionate about storytelling through the art of photography.  Rooted in the younger years of my daughter playing soccer, I was determined to capture all of her many accomplishments along her journey. Unknowingly this would be my prelude to photography. Since that time my love for photography has  grown and been one of the most rewarding parts of my life. Abigail Boatwright is an award-winning writer and photographer specializing in writing, photographing, editing and proofreading for mainly Western stock horse publications. Her photos have appeared on over two dozen covers. Abigail also writes copy for equine and mainstream businesses. She lives in Fort Worth, Texas, with her husband and two children.

Based in both Virginia and Florida, Susan McClafferty is the photographer behind Mareish Media. Susan specializes in equine studio fine art photography but also loves to capture wow moments of fashion, fantasy and connection between horses and humans.

Sweet Fresno Photography is an equine photographer in Atlanta, Georgia for girls and their heart-horse bringing connection, emotion and storytelling to every experience.
